Top 10 Egg Carton Suppliers in Canada (2026 Guide)

Eco-friendly recycled molded pulp egg cartons on market stall in Canada by BonitoPak

Egg carton buyers in Canada have fewer choices than their neighbours to the south, and geography shapes the ones they have. A farm in Nova Scotia, one in Alberta, and one in Quebec can end up buying from three different places, and shipping bulky cartons across provinces adds up quickly.

This guide lists ten egg carton suppliers serving Canadian buyers in 2026, from Canadian moulded fibre makers to distributors, online sellers, and imports. We worked from each company’s own materials and from labelling guidance, and we say where we could not confirm something. One disclosure: BonitoPak publishes this guide and appears on it. We list ourselves last and state our limits.

How Egg Carton Supply Works in Canada

Two manufacturers anchor the market we could verify. CKF Inc. is Canadian-owned and makes egg cartons in Canada. Hartmann North America is headquartered in Brantford, Ontario. Around them sit distributors that hold case quantities, online sellers for smaller farms, and US producers that ship across the border. Prices below are as listed, in the currency each seller shows.

The 10 Egg Carton Suppliers

1. CKF Inc.

CKF is a Canadian-owned manufacturer founded in 1933 as Canadian Keyes Fibre, starting with a single plant in Hantsport, Nova Scotia. It now makes more than 1,000 products across six plants in Canada and two in the US, covering pulp, rPET, and foam. Its egg carton line is called Eggstra, and distributors such as Enterprise Paper carry its flat-top cartons.

Best for: any buyer who wants Canadian-made moulded fibre.

Keep in mind: most small buyers will reach CKF cartons through a distributor, so ask your local one what it stocks.

2. Hartmann North America

Hartmann North America is headquartered at Brantford, Ontario, and says it is the world’s leading manufacturer of moulded fibre egg packaging. It produces egg cartons at Brantford and has built a US plant to serve the wider North American market.

Best for: packers and retailers buying at volume.

Keep in mind: it sells to producers and packers, so smaller farms will usually buy through a distributor.

3. Enterprise Paper Co.

Enterprise Paper is a distributor with locations in British Columbia and Calgary. Its catalogue lists CKF flat-top pulp cartons in blank, large, no-grade, and Grade A XL versions, with pack sizes such as 2,000 per cube for blank cartons and 240 per bundle for large.

Best for: western Canadian buyers who want case quantities of CKF cartons.

Keep in mind: prices are not published, so you need a quote, and packs are large.

4. Greenmunch

Greenmunch, based in Sherwood Park, Alberta, sells 12-egg flat-top cartons it says are made of moulded fibre in Canada. Cases hold 100 cartons, and the listing shows $75 per case when you buy three or more, about 75 cents per carton.

Best for: small farms that want to order online in Canada.

Keep in mind: at small case sizes the per-carton price is higher than distributor volume pricing.

5. Uline Canada

Uline sells flat-top 12-egg moulded fibre cartons on its Canadian site, with 200 per bundle at $125 for one bundle or $118 each for three or more, roughly 59 to 63 cents per carton. It also lists an 18-egg size.

Best for: farms and shops that want a simple flat-top carton with quick delivery.

Keep in mind: Uline describes the cartons as FDA and USDA compliant, which is a US standard. Canadian labelling rules apply separately.

6. EggCartons.com

EggCartons.com is a US online seller of pulp, plastic, and foam egg cartons that ships bulk orders to Canada with shipping fees added. It sells stock printed cartons that ship the same business day, and says custom printed runs need a minimum order and a 4 to 12 week lead time. Its site mentions assisting with custom orders of 20,000 cartons or more.

Best for: farms that want coloured or printed cartons from a large range.

Keep in mind: cross-border freight is costly for bulky goods, and the stock designs we saw were written for the US market. We did not see bilingual versions.

7. Pactiv Evergreen (Novolex)

Pactiv Evergreen, now part of Novolex, makes moulded fibre egg cartons in 6, 12, and 18-egg formats from 100 percent recycled fibre, with options for direct printing or labelling. It earned FSC Recycled certification for its fibre egg packaging.

Best for: packers who want fibre and PET cartons from one source.

Keep in mind: it is a US producer, so confirm Canadian availability, lead times, and bilingual print support first.

8. Tekni-Plex (Dolco)

Tekni-Plex runs the Dolco egg carton business, historically centred on foam. It added pulp capability in 2022 by acquiring assets from Fibro Corp., and says that makes it the only US supplier offering foam, PET, and pulp egg cartons.

Best for: packers moving from foam toward fibre.

Keep in mind: it is also a US producer, so check Canadian supply and delivery before you plan around it.

9. Best Plus Pulp

Best Plus Pulp is a China-based moulded fibre manufacturer that says it exports egg cartons to more than 40 countries in many cell counts and colours. It says its cartons meet EC and FDA food-contact testing.

Best for: importers comparing offshore factory pricing.

Keep in mind: these are the company’s own claims and several pages are dated, so ask for current test certificates and samples. Freight, duty, and taxes apply.

10. BonitoPak

We make moulded pulp egg cartons at our facility in Dongguan, China, and ship to more than 50 countries. We are not a stocked Canadian distributor. What we offer is custom egg trays cut per project, so cell geometry, count, and fibre match your spec. We colour the pulp itself across six systems with better than 95 percent Pantone accuracy. See our boîtes à œufs colorées et dry-press corrugated pulp egg cartons. Sample molds take 7 days, production molds follow 8 days after geometry approval, and minimums start at 1,000 pieces.

Best for: brands and specialty producers who need custom colour, bird-specific cells, or a shape a stocked range does not offer.

Keep in mind: imports add ocean freight, brokerage, duties, and sales tax. Confirm current rates with a customs broker before you commit.

Labelling Basics for Eggs Sold in Canada

A carton design that works in the US may not work in Canada. USDA’s guidance for exporters says shell egg cartons sold in Canada must be labelled in English and French, show a Best Before date, carry a Keep Refrigerated statement in both languages, and show the packer’s or shipper’s name and address. For graded eggs, Canada’s Egg Regulations also call for the grade name and a size designation on the container.

Details vary by province and by how you sell, so check the Canadian Food Inspection Agency’s guidance and your provincial egg board before you approve artwork. Plan for bilingual text from the start, because it affects how much room your design needs.

How to Choose an Egg Carton Supplier in Canada

  • Price the freight. Cartons are bulky. EggCartons.com itself notes that Canadian shipping costs are higher than US rates. Ask for a delivered price.
  • Check case size. Cases in our research ranged from 100 cartons to 2,000 per cube. Match the pack to your annual use so cartons do not sit in storage.
  • Plan bilingual labels early. Settle the French and English text before you choose a printed design.
  • Confirm the currency. Uline Canada and Greenmunch list in Canadian dollars. US sellers may not.
  • Ask Canadian-made or imported. If origin matters to your brand, ask the distributor which manufacturer made the carton.
