Design and customization
- Start with your bottle drawing or physical sample. We map the punt, shoulder and neck to create a contour that distributes load and protects pressure points during transport.
- Options include neck rings, shoulder stops, and anti‑roll ribs for cylindrical or tapered bottles. For multi‑bottle gift sets, we design shared bases with dividers or double‑layer inserts to present accessories such as openers or tasting notes.
- Flange geometry can be tuned for glue‑in assembly in rigid boxes or for friction fit inside corrugated shippers. Finger cut‑outs and lift tabs enable easy product removal without stressing labels or foils.
Performance and testing
- The dense wet‑press structure offers excellent compression and vibration performance for wine logistics. Typical wall thickness ranges from 1.2–2.5 mm depending on bottle weight and drop‑test requirements.
- We guide ISTA‑style drop, vibration and compression tests and can strengthen critical areas with ribs or corner buttresses. Static‑neutral fiber helps keep labels pristine and reduces dust attraction.
Sustainability and materials
- Bagasse pulp, a by‑product of sugarcane, and recycled paper fibers deliver a natural aesthetic with a reduced carbon footprint.
- Trays are widely recyclable in paper streams and will biodegrade under proper conditions. Optional FSC material is available on request. Water‑based pigments match Pantone colors without plastic films, aligning with plastic‑reduction targets for spirits and wine programs.
Production, quality and logistics
- CNC‑machined tooling and polished forming surfaces ensure smooth edges and consistent dimensions. Typical cavity tolerance is ±0.5 mm.
- Sample mold and first articles are ready in about 10 days; mass production typically takes 15–25 days after approval. MOQ is 5000 pcs per design/color.
- Trays nest for efficient pack‑out and are palletized for export with EXW/FOB/CIF shipping options.
Typical applications
- Single‑bottle gift boxes and premium retail packs
- E‑commerce protective shippers for wine and spirits
- Bottle‑plus‑accessory kits (corkscrew, glassware, miniatures)
- Special‑edition label launches using colored fiber trays
FAQ
Q1: Can you match our exact bottle profile?
A: Yes. Provide CAD or a sample bottle and we’ll design a precise cavity with neck/shoulder support for a no‑rattle fit.
Q2: Is the tray suitable for e‑commerce shipping?
A: With the correct wall thickness and reinforcement ribs, trays perform well in drop and vibration tests. We’ll tune the geometry to your route and carton.
Q3: What colors are available?
A: Natural kraft and white are common. We can match Pantone colors to coordinate with your label or box design.
Q4: Can we add branding on the tray?
A: Embossed or debossed logos, icons and text are available. Printing typically goes on the outer box or sleeve.
Q5: Are these recyclable and biodegradable?
A: Yes. Made from plant fibers, the inserts are recyclable in most paper streams and biodegradable under appropriate conditions.
Q6: What is the MOQ and lead time?
A: MOQ 5000 pcs. Samples in about 10 days; production 15–25 days after approval.
Q7: Can the same insert fit different bottle shapes?
A: We recommend one insert per bottle profile for best protection. However, we can design flexible cavities for small variations within a SKU family.
