British egg packaging works differently from the American market, and not only in what it is called. UK producers face egg marking rules, the Lion Quality scheme, and retailer specifications that shape what has to appear on a box before any branding goes near it. The supplier base is also structured differently, with a small number of large moulded fibre manufacturers and a long tail of specialist distributors serving farm shops and smallholders.

This guide names ten suppliers of custom printed egg boxes UK producers can approach, explains which type each one is, and covers the print options and labelling constraints worth understanding before you brief anyone.

Understanding the UK Supplier Landscape
